I felt the need to repost this gif again because I don’t think we’ve quite acknowledged Toph’s epically amazing skillz here.
Check it out, everyone in the room is frozen except her.
Sure she’s struggling, but she’s obviously powerful enough to put up a fight and try wrestle out of Yakone’s control. It’s easy to believe she is the last one he was able to put down.
Why? Because she’s a strong ass mofo greatest earthbender in the world, of course. Her guts are probably made of steel. Literally.
But seriously, this is one of the reasons why I don’t believe Yakone is doing this alone. As a twelve year old, Toph could lift an entire building, acres wide, out of the sand. To be put down so easily by a single bloodbender who is also bloodbending about 50 other people, one of which is the Avatar, in broad daylight? I’m not buying it.
Some have theorized there are a a few more bloodbenders out back helping him out. Could be,
or maybe Yakone is just a a rampaging moon spirit, the evil version of Yueor maybe Yakone is endowed with help from certain evil spirits, the same ones that are helping Amon. Maybe that’s why Aang is so desperate to contact Korra from the Spirit World, because she needs to understand these aren’t just people she’s fighting.
